Elddis Tynedale Twin axle caravan
We are selling our caravan because the youngsters in the family have now decided that they do not want to go camping with the olds any more. The van is too big for just the two of us so we are selling it. It is in a ready-to-go all that needs to be added is personal items, bed linen and cutlery crockery etc.
With have owned it for two years and have taken it across to Eastern Europe twice in that time. It is extremely comfortable and being twin axle, tows like a dream. The Winterhof hitch/stabilizer ensures that it is steady as a rock even at 60 mph on a German autobahn! To help us maneuver it on those tiny Eastern European pitches we had a heavy duty PowrTouch fitted (£1200) which makes fine positioning of the van an absolute doddle when on site. This unit is just one year old thus has four years of warranty still remaining. During our ownership, the van has always been wintered under a caravan cover (PurpleLine Tyvek type - £345) and on winter wheels (the road wheels being stored in black sacks in the shed during the winter). Thus the chassis, wheels and bodywork are in excellent condition for the age. There is no damp at all in the van and it has never smelt musty at all even after a long winter period.
The van has been serviced once a year by Sussex Caravans who have also serviced it in the past under previous owners. They know this van and are very keen to sell it on our behalf should we ask them to do so.
